Abstract

Biography and autobiography are both considered literary genres. Rich autobiographical literature is found mostly on public men and achievers in sports, cinema, etc. However, one hardly comes across an autobiography or biography of a teacher. The book 'Beautiful Moments: Journey of a Village Teacher' contains inspiring stories of people the author has met during his long journey in life. In the book, the author himself says it's not his autobiography. Though it is not his autobiography,  one can see and feel the author through the "stories of people he met". From that perspective, this book is a unique creative contribution. The author carefully chose to share the roses, keeping the thorns to himself. These are incidents that he found inspiring. The book consists of more than eighty stories organised chronologically into four phases of the author's life.
